Hello, and welcome to a new school year! I am really looking forward to working with you on some exciting projects this week and next, including getting to know each other and identifying our values as a class! Hopefully, when we agree upon a core set of class values, they can guide us through our teamwork and on our journey towards becoming highly skilled readers and writers!
We will also begin our Family Heritage Project, which will allow the school community to get to know you, where you come from, and allow you to begin exploring how your family influences your past, present and future. One of our guiding questions to begin the year is, how does family influence us, and how is our family part of our identity?
We will also read and write letters about our backgrounds, and our teacher's, as well as take a grammar diagnostic and assess our current writing skills.
